The interior of the Notre Dame was vast, golden, and could not possibly fit through the eye of a needle.

Lovely shot - the detailing is just amazing. Rather intricate.
I wish I could go there.

      But what is this
possibly fit through the eye of a needle
      reference?

      satosphere:
In the Bible, Jesus once said that it was "easier for a camel to fit through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."
Which is an interesting commentary, given how rich the Catholic Church was during the time period that Notre Dame was constructed.

Incredible capture here! I have rarely felt the presence of God in "church", but often in architectural settings!
