This is Edell

    Newer Older

Edell's dream is to have a large and peaceful family.

Edell is currently doing chores in a field with her little brother and little sister. She is the oldest and the only one that smiles when I ask if I can help carry the wood back to their home.

Beautiful portraits, this one and her brother, both. You have a wonderful eye, and obviously a good heart.

Edell is a breath of fresh air from a different time...

I love the colors and her gentle, serious look.

Wonderful as always, Trey! They both look so solemn. :-)

      I miss the HDR sky,
      but it's still a FAV.

Is she happy? There is a sadness in those eyes.

Her face is older than she is. She looks pensive in the portait (moresoe than sad, to me), and I can just imagine how much her face lit up when she smiled.

How did you ever get them to allow you to take a photo. I have been to Amish country and know how rare that is. Beautiful work, just beautiful!

Both of these Amish portraits are really excellent.

I hope her face lit up when she smiled. She has no lights in this picture - her eyes silently yearn. I find it to be a very sad picture, though beautifully documented.

Your photography is incredible. The way you connect with (in sort of an interesting, neutral way) adds so much to each of these amazing portraits. I'm going to come back to your pages often!
