Stunning sunset and beautiful photo, Gordon.

Hope you are warming up there just a bit. It's gotten a little cooler here, thank goodness, and we haven't had any severe storms thankfully. I think we will have an early winter, so perhaps you will have an early spring.

Patrick and I are doing well. He's getting back into the swing of things and is very happy to be home. His health is improving day by day, and that's relief. We're adjusting to being roommates and even the dogs are glad to have him home. He's trying to get his own apartment as soon as he can, but his business always slows considerably in the summer when the students are out of school, but he gets more work when school starts. Meanwhile, he's able to pay his bills and get along alright.

I hope that your skin problems are improving. Do you have any more surgeries scheduled any time soon? It's good to know that at least you don't have to worry about the costs of the treatment. I wish we had universal health care here, but I don't think it will ever happen. The US just keeps getting worse for ordinary people.

      Take care, Gordon.

This sunset series is remarkable! Very well deserved Explore.

You are so correct, issues of importance are back burners for media and they only look for sensational ones. In our country it's always cheap politics that's center stage (to allow FDI, Foreign Direct Investment in retail sector or not is the current fav).
I'm surprised because always was under the impression that recruits in armed forces (Army, Navy and/or Airforce) demanded certain height and extreme physical fitness in every spheres?
It's true having a pool in the house is not a popular concept here. People are preferring to live in apartments in big complex where they have pools etc. To me, there is no alternative to living in a house. Have always lived in one and with all luxuries thrown in, community living still doesn't appeals to me.
Elevated and private position, yeah definitely sounds great! :-)
Atleast if lived or grew up by in the coastal area or country side or lake side then maybe would have learned to swim pretty early, but city living (especially one like Kolkata) is a real damper.

Just realized I may have already commented on this photo... It is definitely worth a second acknowledgement.
