• My dog, waiting on me to stop mucking about!

Thanks for the great feedback on my last shot... this was taken the following morning, and temps were down at -18˚c. Took the dog out for a walk to see how far I could take the car... not very! It was actually so cold that my breath was icing up on the back of the LCD screen, as I was composing the shot!

3 days later, the temp's risen by nearly 30˚c and the snow has almost gone... that's Scotland for ya!

Worth a larger look. no longer available/

I've had to downgrade the resolution of this image, and introduce heavy watermarking, after finding other images on unauthorised sale. I apologise, as it now looks crap and a shadow of its former self.

Beautiful image Stuart, it got down to -18 in Shropshire, but we had a lot less snow. This a such a great scene, the tracks in the snow lead your eye into the image.

Nice wintery scene! It has been surprisingly cold this year, but as you say the positive is that there are some great photo opportunities :~)

I've never experienced that freezing temperatures, but it must be interesting every now and then. :) 30 degrees is a big difference! By the way, I like the transition of white to blue and the contrast between the two.

That's awful, about the unauthorised sales of your images! I can see how beautiful this one must have been though - what a gorgeous landscape, and thank you for braving the cold so we can all enjoy it's beauty through this wonderful image! Happy holidays!
