Be Careful Where You Walk

The first aircraft you see when you enter the museum is this Supermarine Walrus, built in 1939. My eye was drawn to the incredible texture of the fabric covering the wings, and especially to this footprint marker - which I'm assuming is there to tell maintenance personnel where they could safely step without putting their foot through the wing!

Taken in Hall 1 of the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton.
