695 on Leith Walk

The Trident talk continues with another from the former Service 48 Park&Ride fleet (691 to 700) being graced with a new coat of Lothian's modern interpretation of the great madder and white livery with garnished scripts in gold, used since the end of the 19th Century on transporting vehicles.

Alexander Dennis Trident, Plaxton President number 695 (SN04 AEK) popped out looking like this on the first week of April and it's difficult to believe this is a Trident. Oh yes it is!

In the evening of their lives these often maligned beasts are coming into their own and there is a Flckr subgroup called 'Vehicles that turn your Head' - this one turned my head and it's not difficult to see why as this 25 picks up some passengers at the foot of Leith Walk on a chilly Saturday morning.
