769 at East Craigs

Away from the excitement of Lothian's new Volvo's and Enviro's, the repaint programme continues to return our buses to the traditional colours of over one hundred years ago. A new interpretation of madder red called 'weinrot und weis classic' livery is being rolled out and about half the normal service fleet are now in this design (as of September 2011).

Volvo B7TL (Wrightbus Eclipse Gemini) number 769 (SN56 ACJ) is seen here at Maybury Drive, near to the East Craigs terminus which is close to Edinburgh Airport. A leafy dual carriageway provides the backdrop for this photo and I'm grateful to Chris Cuthill for the tip-off as to where it was.

The fleet group 769 to 801 are being repainted at random and, not being branded, these Central depot based Gemini's are sometimes difficult to track down.
