You wake up in your bed, soaked in sweat, startled and breathless. Clawing at your pillow, you feel suffocated from fluttered heartbeats.
You begin choking on the words you were too afraid to say, back when you were in a place you didn't call home. Now that you've sunk back into your footsteps you start to realise that even this isn't home. You can't speak, you can't feel, you can't even breathe in your own space.
Your head is a cloud and it’s raining your broken pieces to the ground. You’re all over the place. You don’t know when you start and when to stop. You've never felt so numb and out of place.
