Advent Procession 2012
More than 4,000 people came to St Paul's to mark the beginning of Advent at two special services, which saw the Cathedral move from darkness to light.
The services, entitled Looking for the Light, were sung by the Cathedral Choir and featured music by composers such as Rachmaninov, Poulenc and a new commission by Matthew Martin.
The music was interspersed with readings, beginning with the opening of Genesis, Let there be Light.
