The view from the pitoresk street of Monteliusvägen on the island of Södermalm overlooking the central parts of Stockholm. One of the best spots to see the city.
On the island infront called Riddarholmen a big bonfire is set and about 5000 people have gathered to celebrate Valborgsmässoafton (Walpurgis Night in english). A early spring tradition on the last of april that goes back to the hednic times. The tower behind is the church of S:ta Clara, up to the right you can see the 5 big buildings of Hötorgs City. The Central Station is just to the right across the water. The white ship is a hotel and restaurant called Mälardrottningen (The Queen of Mälaren).
