Blue hour bridge

The blue hour in full effect over Stockholm. This is a bridge from a office building leading out to a elevator called Katarinahissen. The elevator was built in 1936 but was taken out of service in 2010. The first elevator was built here in 1883. Check the Wikipedia link for more:


This is not just a bridge, under the walkway one of Stockholms finest and most well know restaurants are located, Gondolen. The restaurant has a wonderful view over the city and the food is fantastic. Be sure to visit this place if you are visiting Stockholm.


Down to the right you see parts of the harbor and the inner parts of the Baltic Sea, further up you see the island of Skeppsholmen. Down to the left you have Slussen and the Old Town on the other side of the canal, this is where the lake of Mälaren starts.
