A city between water and sky
The warm skies of a early spring sunset, and the cold waters of the Baltic Sea slowly defreezing after the winter. A late february day in Stockholm.
I this photo you see some of the oldest parts of the inner city. The water is the start of the Baltic Sea and the amazing Stockholm Archipelago with around 30.000 island and islets. To the left you see the well know Old Town where the oldest house is around 700 years old. The street running by the harbor is called Skeppsbron. Up to the left you see a top of a brown building, the royal castle. The building in the middle being touched by the golden sun is the Grand Hotel, and beside that Lydmar Hotel. Just before the small bridge to the right you have the swedish nation musuem. The bridge leads over to the island of Skeppsholmen, where you can find the Modern Museum, the royal schools of art and alot of old and beautiful boats. The ship to the left is Af Chapman, a great place to stay if you are in Stockholm as it is a hostel.
