Tramontane necklace

I used an extruded and stamped mokume gane technique to interpret the four color areas in Van Gogh's Irises as I saw them. Van Gogh is a master colorist and so I trusted that using these colors together would work. I made the spacers of steel and added a purchased antiqued chain. The title, Tramontane, is the Mediterranean name for the direction North in the compass rose, which is sometimes represented by the fleur de lys, a styized iris.
