Geiranger is one of the most famous tourist destinations in the Norwegian fjords. In whole of Norway to tell the truth. And it have some signs to be a tourist trap. The place is a bit crowded and can be rather expencive. But the grand beauty of the place and the impressive roads to and from it is there still. And so is the amazing fjord leading in to it with its great waterfalls and unbelievebly placed farms high up in the hill sides!
This is taken from the eastern side, on the way up from Geiranger. We came down the steep winding road you see a little right of the center of the picture. More pictures from there below.
The road is called Ørnevegen (Eagles road) and the upper bend on it is called Ørnesvingen (Eagles bend). It has a great viewpoint.
