St. Mary's Chemistry at top of national A-level tables​ 2011

St. Mary’s Menston A-level Chemistry results are in the top ten nationally.

 

For the first time, the Department for Education has released a breakdown of the best schools in England by subject.

St. Mary’s is in the top 10 nationwide in terms of the proportion of students achieving the highest grade (A*), based on the 2011 A-Levels.

 

24% of our 29 Chemistry pupils achieved an A* grade.The outstanding results are due to the excellent teaching in our Science faculty, coupled with the enthusiasm and commitment of our students. Many of St. Mary’s A-Level Chemists go on to study Chemistry and Medicine at the top universities in the country.
