Glenville Sports Mural

    Newer Older

16 year old J-Shawn Richardson who worked on this mural was murdered yesterday in the streets of the same neighborhood in which he had so much pride in.

Sad state of the streets in Cleveland. When will it stop?

Thanks. I'm really shocked that no one has commented about the kid who was killed. My pictures are just pictures, he (and the others) are the real artists. Just tragic.

Amen Stick....Yes, these are very nice photographs...and you are so right in speaking of the tragedy of such senseless killings. I'm saddened when I think of the violent times we live in, and the impact on so many people. Thanks for sharing the pictures, and the message.....

Hello to all. I am J-Shawn's sister, and I am glad you all enjoy his work. I would like to notify you of some opportunities to view more of his work and others like him. The Cleveland Mural Program will be doing a dedication to J-Shawn at the unveiling of another mural to be placed on 62nd Street. Also, his work will be on display at this years Glenville Festival. Some artwork will be for sale to help fund The J-Shawn Richardson Memorial and Scholarship Fund. I will keep you posted on dates and times. His family appreciates the acknowledgment of his gifts and talents as well as the kind words. I am not a pro at this but will try to post some of his work. Donations to the fund can be made at any US Bank branch. Again thank you.
