Strada, by Haettenschweiler

Strada is an alphabet by Walter Haettenschweiler appearing in Lettera 3, 1967. Haettenschweiler says he was inspired by the letters painted on roads that are designed to compensate for the optical shortening caused by viewing the signs from within a car.

There are variety of similar typefaces released around the same time, including Beat Star, Sintex, and Zipper, but the origins of this style go way back to wood type of the late 1800s, such as Gothic Bold.
