Masa Cleaners

Real life snow capped letters on 300 South, btwn 3rd and 4th East. I was fortunate enough to live across the street from this when I lived in the Broadway Apts. Never took my laundry there. Do they live up to the sign?

aw, I used to live right down the street from those cleaners. Never took my laundry there, either.

They're my favorite tailors in SLC. (I haven't taken cleaning there but I've had them alter a dress. They did a great job.)

Masa is the maiden name of the wife's mother. It's a husband and wife team who own this shop. They met in a Japanese camp during WWII.

Sorry this comment was added so very late.

I love how you caught the snow on this sign! Perfect winter signage shot!

I just drove by here today and noticed with a sad shock that this sign is gone. I wondered if I had the wrong block, but I saw "Masa Cleaners" painted on the east side of the little brick building. I hope they just took it down for repairs.

Thanks! And shucks, I went by Masa again today, this time on foot, and it's definitely closed:
