Here is a picture from my first ever set of sunrise images. I had a really early morning in order to get down to the beach in time for the golden hour but had great fun with my Dad while we were there. It was both our first times attempting this kind of photography so it was a nice learning curve for us.
This shot has had very minimal post processing - the colours are exactly what was captured in camera. I just needed to brighten it up ever so slightly to achieve the final image.
One benefit of living in a town with a huge port is that it often provides a ship or two to focus on on the horizon, which I think adds to this shot nicely.
P.S I've just noticed on the far right of the horizon Sealand, which is an old WW2 construction that is now a principality... Visit en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Principality_of_Sealand for further details about this bizzare micronation!
