Dream Highway [C_071601]

Just about everyone who has been to Big Sur has a photo of the Bixby Bridge. Before the bridge was built and opened in 1932 the trek down Hwy 1 required more than a dozen miles of inland driving down the unpaved and often impassable Old Coast Road. Here you see the bridge in moonlight.


The Bixby Bridge is featured in many commercials because the setting is so awesome. I've featured the bridge before, see below.


I did alter this in a way I'll bet nobody will notice (besides healing out some telephone wires, that is). Jupiter was in the shot, but it had an awful purple chromatic aberration so I cloned it out using a bright star.
