Cascade of Stars [C_049409+12]

If you've followed my work at all, you'll know that the bracketed text in the title tells you things. E.g. that this is a two-shot composite. One shot is a high ISO shortish exposure for the milky way, and one stopped down exposure for the foreground. Eric Harness provided the light painting for me.

Some of you may know where this is, but I'd prefer you keep it to yourself as I've just begun to scratch the surface of what is possible here. It's a great spot in the Sierra - not far from Yosemite.

Some hints about how I process my Milky Way shots can be found on my BLOG. There are already 3 articles and two more are in the works!

The latest is: Milky Way Post Processing: Color Correction. Before that was The Elusive Milky Way – Capture an Image and the first article is The Elusive Milky Way – How to Find It!

By the way, just so ya know... nothing dishonest here. The Milky Way and the scene were all taken without moving the camera, zooming or any shenanigans.
