Visor View [C_033780]
Standing on the "Visor" of Half Dome before dawn affords a sweeping vision of the Yosemite Valley.
Twilight has begun to overwhelm what the light pollution west of Yosemite has not already consumed. Below you see Yosemite Valley beginning to come awake in the pre-dawn hours. Above is a faint trace of the Milky Way stretching directly up from the valley between El Capitan and Bridalveil Fall.
There is also some peculiar banding above the central valley where the light pollution is coming from. Perhaps due to a thermal inversion or to air pollution.
