Yet another set of images (250 in total, though only the last 100 or so are visibly present). I did something quite different from my normal processing - still playing with ASP 15. One of the unpleasant side effects of shooting star trails and stacking in lighten mode is that you often get artifacts - due to wind, stray light, and other sources. For example, there is a Fire Station nearby this location and at some point they left the fire house with red lights flashing... that red light lit parts of the trees in odd ways.
Using Ultra Streaks, the strange effects fade over time (unless they are repeated). But I did something different still. I used a "Darken" image stack for the foreground and used Color-Range selection so it wouldn't affect my sky. Both of those are firsts for me.
250 x f/4, ISO 1600, 15 Seconds. Nikon D600, 24mm Rokinon.
