Day 81: What's in a Name?

As I mentioned previously, crows are my favorite birds and I was thinking about the term murder to describe a flock of them. There are many theories as to where this originated.

I grabbed this from PBS.org:

The term “murder of crows” mostly reflects a time when groupings of many animals had colorful and poetic names. Other fun examples of “group” names include: an ostentation of peacocks, a parliament of owls, a knot frogs, and a skulk of foxes.
