Canon 5D Mark II, 24-105mm f/4.0L, flash, tripod
I went for a mountain bike ride today with a few friends. It was a night ride and by the time we were done it was darn chilly. I wanted something simple for this shot, something to capture my fatigue, the cold and the darkness.
Strobist: Bare 580EXII @ 1/32 power with flag to keep light off background about a foot from subject at camera left. Large round reflector about a foot from subject on camera right. Reflector on the ground just in front of subject (just out of frame) and there is a bare 580EXII @ 1/128th power bouncing in to that reflector. Strobes triggered with PocketWizard, shutter triggered with Canon RC-1 remote. Minor post in Aperture 3.1.
