    Now thats a proper building.

Nice font....and discrete hints of Art Deco in the light fittings.

Hi, I'm an admin for a group called London Fire Brigade (UK), and we'd love to have this added to the group!

Greenwood: Not sure what its like today but when my dad was stationed there in the late 70's & early 80's it was a cracking place.

UPDATE: I've been given permission by the LFB to visit Acton and photograph whatever I want there for an up-coming project! Roll on 2012 so I can in there again.

Sounds good! I'll try and keep an eye on your photostream for the results...

Should be interesting Steve. I'm making a model of the station and have bought a photo kit of the external views of the station. I'm going to add some interior detail, hence the visit, and then build the kit.
I've laready got some representitive fire appliances that were there when my Dad was stationed at Acton; PE, P, TL and an Auxillery Fire Service Green Goddess; can't find a scale version of the Emergency Tender that was based there at one point.
Then, when all is done, I will present it to my Dad as a Father's Day gift.

    It's a lovely idea for a present!

Hope I can do it! I haven't made a model in 20+ years.
