Sgwd Henrhyd

Not a particularly brilliant image, thought I would post to show how little water was coming over the falls.

For this Sundays outing we visited Sgwd Henrhyd, South Wales' highest waterfall, located in the Nant Lech Valley and dropping a total 90ft (27m).

I know we've not had much rain for quite some time, but was still surprised at the lack of water in the river. The continued dry spell has encouraged the algae to form in this pool. I had hoped to take some decent images of this falls, with the tree stump which normally sits in a prime spot just in front of the pool. This was not the case with the stump left well and truly high and Dry. Still and excuse to revisit, after some rain of course!
