Measure Twice, Cut Once
I am writing an article on bird houses and wanted to get a shot of a bird actually trying to build a nest. I spent hours in the heat waiting for this little House Wren to show up with a stick. He has been non-stop for a day or two and, of course, when I want a shot, he is no where to be seen.
Anyway, he showed up with a stick that was 10 inches long to try to stuff into a hole that is 1 1/2 inches wide. To my friends on the metric system, 10 inches is a lot bigger than 1 1/2 inches. This guy is apparently not terribly good at spacial relationships. (see photos below)
