Democracy Spring March Arrives In DC 6

Washington DC, Sunday April 10, 2016. Around 300 Democracy Spring anti-corruption activists marched down historic US Route 1 into DC today for a brief rally at Union Station.The 140 mile march started in Philadelphia on April 2 and will conclude at the US Capitol* on Monday, April 11 where the marchers will unite with Democracy Awakening activists in a week long congressional lobbying effort. Some of the participants in both the Democracy Spring and Democracy Awakening actions have pledged to engage in non-violent civil disobedience so some arrests are expected.
