Sage Grouse (Centrocercus urophasianus)
I shot some sage grouse under very low light conditions. This was taken using a TC 14 on a Nikkor 500 at ISO 2200, f5.6 and a shutter speed of 1/125. I was not sure how it would turn out. Below is the original image, just converted to jpg.
To bring the image out, I increased the WB to around 8200K, did some sharpening, added a burn dodge layer, and a bit of luminosity work. All things considered, it did not turn out too bad.
