Easter Island Ahu Tongariki (42.000+ views!)

Ahu Tongariki is the largest group of moais near the coast of Easter Island. The sculptures symbolise the powerful ancestors watching over the village. All of them were tumbled down in wars between the villages and had to be restored. Only one of the moais still has it's hat.
