Saltlakes near San Pedro de Atacama (12.000+ views!)

Near San Pedro de Atacama in Chile is the driest part of the Atacama desert. These salt lakes are the only water for miles. In the morning the water was partly frozen. In the background you can see one of the high volcanoes at the border to Argentina. The white salt is rich in lithium, which is used for computer batteries.
