Pileated Woodpecker - Male

    Newer Older

Photographed in Mead Garden, Winter Park, Florida on October 28, 2009. A Red-shouldered Hawk was watching him from a nearby tree. The Hawk flew away before I left. Pileated Woodpeckers are Mead Garden Year-Round Residents.

Nice! For me, these have been the hardest of all woodpeckers to photograph. Great job.
