Graham Cracker Ice Cream Sandwiches
I can't even begin to tell you how long I have been making these but my kids grew up on them and I now make them for my grandkids.
When my cousins son got married he asked me to give the recipe to his new wife as long as I can remember everytime he would come over he would eat as many of these as he could and also grab some for the ride home !
I keep my freezer full all summer and Fall and will be making these with the patriotic sprinkles for our July 4th get together this year!
Delicious grab and go treat!
1 (16 oz) tub COOL WHIP whipped topping, thawed
1 (3.4 oz.) box instant pudding( your favorite flavor)
One box graham crackers( break sheets in half) your choice of flavors
In a bowl combine COOL WHIP and dry pudding.
Stir until pudding is completely combined with COOL WHIP.
It shouldn't be grainy.
Spread about 2 heaping tablespoons of frosting on a graham cracker square
Put another graham cracker square on top and squish it down just a little.
You want some of the filling to ooze out the sides just a bit because
You need something for the sprinkles to stick to.
Take each graham cracker square and dip each of the four sides in sprinkles.
I'll usually pour the sprinkles onto plates for easy dipping.
Place completed treats onto a cookie sheet.
Place tray in freezer for about an hour .
Then serve cold.
It tastes like an ice cream sandwich and is perfect for all those hot summer days!
Any leftovers can be kept frozen in an airtight, freezer-safe container.
Just be sure to use wax paper to separate the layers.
Kids and Adults all enjoy these!
You can also skip the pudding and just add plain cool whip as the filling or buy the flavored Cool Whip!
The pudding gives you somewhat of a different texture that we all enjoy.
Also delicious with the cinnamon graham crackers.
Super Simple non expensive and delicious!
