U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry hosts Chinese State Councilor Yang Jiechi in his hometown of Boston, Massachusetts, for a series of private meetings to exchange in-depth views on U.S.-China relations and global issues of common interest on October 17-18, 2014. On October 20, Secretary Kerry leads the Presidential Delegation to Jakarta, Indonesia, to attend the Inauguration of His Excellency Joko Widodo, President-elect of Indonesia. While in Jakarta, the Secretary also holds several bilateral meetings with foreign counterparts. On October 21, Secretary Kerry travels to Berlin, Germany, where he meets with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier to discuss regional and international issues, and in advance of the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.
