John Coleridge Patteson D.D., Bishop of Melanesia, 186- , photographer unknown
Also known as "Coley", he was born in 1827 and was killed in 1871. St. Barnabas's, Norfolk Island is a memorial to him. He fought the practice of "blackbirding" and his death was engineered by the slavers.
