Long ago I had a work trip to California and I was able to secure some free time at the end of the trip to make my first visit to Yosemite. I was (and remain) a huge fan of Ansel Adams, so I took my SLR loaded with some B&W film and brightly took off to take some pics in homage to the master.
Today I came across some prints I made in my home darkroom after my return. They're not very good and I haven't found the negatives to attempt better scans, but here are some scans of the 10x8 prints.
This is the classic Yosemte view that Adams made famous. The road in to the valley stops here. I had hired a Ford Pinto (yes, the one that exploded in collisions) from Rent-a-Wreck to drive up to the valley for the Easter weekend.
