Candy Dish

I fell in love with Elizabeth Allan's stamping on glass here: I made a votive holder for a co-worker (here: & have had 2 of these larger containers sitting in the closet waiting for me to get my courage up to stamp on them. My sis is turning 60 soon. She loves blue, butterflies & chocolate, so I decided it was time to make a candy dish. The butterfly is from Penny Black illumination & the little flower is from salutations. The inks are all Staz On. I started by masking so I could make the top border using Cotton White. The butterflies are Azure & the little flowers are Royal Purple. I bought the roll of diamond gems not knowing what I would do with them. I love them around the top, so that was a good buy! Tiny gems are in the flower centers & each butterfly has a small rectangle gem over the body. Now I just have to fill it with yummy chocolates! I'm entering the Penny Black Art Extravaganza challenge here: Each side has 2 butterflies & 3 flowers with slight variations in placement. Thanks for coming by.
