Pop Nigella

This is the central portrait of the 'Nine Faces of Nigella' of Nigella Lawson inspired by Andy Warhol's portraits of Marilyn Monroe. Here the black outline stresses strongly the Pop Art influence. Nigella is one of a growing band of celebrity TV chefs hosting their own programmes. Cookery is now ever present on television, in magazines and supplements, in books, videos and DVDs - it is an integral part of Pop culture today. Nigella is the Cookery Queen, the visually glamorous side of this phenomenon.
