Bury Art 7872

    Newer Older

Art Cinema Bury. Opened in 1922, replacing an earlier cinema on the site, and designed by Albert Winstanley. Used as a cine-variety theatre until closure in the 1960's. It then survived in various guises as a bingo hall for Walkers, a snooker hall, club and a Chicago Rock Cafe outlet until conversion into the Art Picture House pub for the Wetherspoons chain. It is grade 2 listed.
