Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM

    Newer Older

My new toy is here: Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM. Its big and heavy and makes my camera look like an accessory :) LOL

I'm pretty much in love with this lens already. Hopeful I'll have some time this weekend to upload a few test shots.

Yeah congrats I know you will love it. I want some new lenses but with my back injuries I can't lift anything and will just have to settle for my light cameras :)

I'm thinking about getting this lens myself. I know 24mm isn't particularly wide on a cropped frame sensor but I would appreciate the 105mm. It is also an L series meaning it's weather sealed which would come in handy when taking shots like the one you commented on.

I took that shot with a Sigma 18-50 f2.8 which is an 'EX' lens, Sigma's top range, but is still not weather sealed. Some moisture ended up getting into it and it was steamed up for a few hours as the water was condensing but it seems to be ok now.
