Fitzgerald Mansion, 1903
The 1903 Fitzgerald House, in the historic West Adams district of Los Angeles, is for sale.

This Italian Gothic mansion will require a bit of money and elbow grease to return to it's intended splendor, hopefully someone will show up and save this remarkable house.

This house was designated Los Angeles Historic Cultural Monument (HCM) #258. If you are interested in the LA HCM program, then you MUST subscribe to this remarkable blog!

Apparently, the Fitzgerald Mansion was also once owned by the Haggarty family, who also once owned the castle at 3330 West Adams. The original furnishings for the Fitzgerald Mansion were sold off in a 1934 sale.

The Fitzgerald house, at 3115 West Adams, was also the home of Count Zaruba and his wife, the former opera star Emma Hoeffler, who was a prominent figure for years in the Los Angeles opera scene.
