counterfeit compact flash
i bought a SanDisk Ultra II 1GB compact flash card from powersellerturbo on eBay. when i tried to use it i discovered it was incredibly slow. further investigation showed the wrong product number (SDCFB vs. SDCFH), a lack of serial number, and a suspicious "A+" hologram. a call to the wonderful SanDisk tech support guy confirmed it was a fake. though the seller never returned any of my email he did eventually refund my money once contacted by PayPal.
