Man in beret (red) and black and white

I'm a bit...

(actually quite a lot eastern)

when it comes to old people

in Britain it's now not so PC to call someone 'old'

And although I would never have dreamed of disrepecting my grandparents

a cult of youth prefers a more neutral label

I like old as a label and as a condition

I much prefer the oak to the acorn

here's a living library of life

once a young

and no doubt pretty

He's earned his respect

whatever his life story

not all acorns become oaks
