The Red Bird
Two Redbirds came in early May,
Flashing like rubies on the way;
Their joyous notes awoke the day,
And made all nature glad and gay. -C C M
Spring also is the time for renewal for birds which start loosing their winter plumage and get their bright selves back for the breeding season. The Northern Cardinal is one of those which retain their color through winter. It is one of the most vibrant colored passerine birds in North America. The red is so bright and the black so dark and of course the crest! It makes for one beautiful bird!
I am kinda tied up with stuff and am unable to spend much time on Flickr, will be back soon to visit all your amazing streams to see what you have been seeing :)
Hope everyone is having a fabulous week!
Listening to Don't stop thinking about tomorrow - Fleetwood Mac. They were in town a couple of weeks back, it is fun to listen to old favorites live even when they don't sound the same any more :)
