Rare/Unusual Lightning/Thunderstorms in San Jose, CA! (4-13-12) Photo #11
A line of potentially strong thunderstorms swept through the San Francisco/Monterey Bay regions on the evening of Thursday, April 12, 2012 and lasting until the early morning hours of the next day of Friday, April 13, 2012! It was just amazing! We rarely get extreme weather like this here that often, especially with the unusually high number of lightning strikes. There were at least 750 recorded lightning strikes this evening alone. It was also just a day after they reported an EF1 tornado that struck just southwest of Stockton, CA. This April has been crazy indeed!
Photo/snapshot taken from my video footage I caught. Most of the lightning were CC (cloud-to-cloud lightning) but I managed to get a couple distant CGs (cloud-to-ground lightning), probably more. These were caught on camera just after midnight, between the hours of 12ish til around 2ish a.m. on Friday, April 13, 2012 from my own bedroom at home!
