A Glowing Future

    Newer Older

A new uploading philosophy: if it's not my favorite, it's not getting uploaded.

Afterall, why would I expect anyone to favorite, or even comment on something I probably wouldn't? This isn't to damper on work that I've done, but rather, to set a higher standard for myself especially entering 2011.

So here's to the start of a new beginning, not 2011, but a new uploading track. Enjoy!

Enjoy it more by viewing it large, on black!

Try and remember, though, that each person sees the world very differently, and you never can tell what someone will or won't like. You have to use your own judgment, but I bet you are being too hard on yourself and we may miss some really great work.

I agree with , some shots that I consider total misses, end up getting more faves and positive feedback than I ever would have imagined. Some even make Explore! Plus, putting less than perfect shots up does let good and knowledgeable people offer feedback on how to better the shot.
That said, I really like this image. The Tomorrowland neon is, of course, awesome. But what's even more awesome are the subtle, yet very much visible, reflections of the neon on the walkway.

Then again, if you do choose to upload something you're not totally pleased about, and you are open to critique, I'd suggest mentioning that in the caption because I think often comments stray away from critique unless asked for.

Also, I really like this photo, especially the reflections on the ground. This could be a classy poster.r

Also, when I got back on Flickr this past semester, I was looking back on my photos and was pretty much like "omg look at all this crap" and started deleting about 100 pics, with sorta the same idea, trying to pare my photostream down to increase the quality ratio (yet at the same time, it doesn't allow as much as my growth as a photographer to be seen)
