Waning Gibbous "Pink Moon" - April 10, 2012

The Waning Gibbous Moon at 78% of full in the early monring hours of Tuesday April 10, 2012. Note the excellent view of Hercules and Atlas (appearance of two "bowling ball" holes) at the one o'clock position, along with a nice view of Theophilus on Mare Nectaris. In the southeast along the terminator there are excellent details of Piccolomini, Janssen Pitiscus, Hommel, Vlaco, Mazinus, and Mutus.
