Paul, Julie and Jacqui approaching Hollins Cross from Mam Tor on the Leeds Flickr Group day out for a walk and photos along the mam-tor-to-lose-hill ridge.
I wasn't really expecting anyone to turn up for the walk, as it was raining heavily when we woke up on the morning and all the way travelling into the peak district, but thankfully most of the people who said they were going to come turned up, and there was 6 of us in total.
The weather wasn't actually too bad (i'd checked the forecast the day before, which said rain at dawn, gradually clearing in the north od england through the afternoon) - it stopped when we got to the National Trust carpark at Mam Tor, and from then bar 2 very short spurts of very light rain it pretty much stayed away until we got back to the cars (though some of the clouds looked a bit threatening!).
Made for some dramatic skies, the odd rainbow, laughter at 2 sheep mugging walkers for sandwiches, and in general a very pleasant walk and pub meal - enjoyed it muchly.
