I think this is probably my fave photo i've taken in a long time, and a definate case of being in the right place at the right time...
I was driving to Stanage Edge to get there shortly after sunrise, and i had planned at visiting Ladybower Reservoir on the way back, but took a wrong turning and ended up passing it on the way out. There'd been no cloud overnight, so what with it being winter there was a picturesque layer of frost over everything.
I decided to stop at the reservoir for a few minutes and have a quick look around, and this Jetty caught my eye.
The area around the Jetty is out of bounds to the general public, but i happened across one of the guys who works for the fisheries there and he was kind enough to let me thru the gate so i could get closer, so long as i was quick - so i owe him a debt of thanks!
Time's wrong on the More Properties, this was somewhere around 7.30am, not long after sunrise :-)
